A man's violent alter-ego takes revenge on an old classmate when he realizes he is living next door.

Synopsis

Based on the original comic book by Santa Inoue and with a Cameo by Takashi Miike.

Juzo is a victim of bullying and the kid who treats him the worst is Akai. Akai tortures Juzo every day, and goes so far that he holds Juzo down on the floor, and opens a bottle of vitriolic acid above him. Juzo struggles, but the acid is spilled on his face…

Ten years later, Juzo moves into apartment 13 of a two-storey, old building. His upstairs neighbors in apartment 23 are the high school bully Akai and his family. Akai lived as a criminal since his high school days, but he eventually married, began to work as a carpenter, and had a child. Juzo wanted revenge on Akai ever since he was a child. Years of obsession created another personality in Juzo's mind that calls itself "No.13". Led by No.13, Juzo gets a job as a journeyman in Akai’s company.

Juzo soon befriends Akai’s wife without him knowing and meets other people he has pushed around. As he starts to learn details of Akai’s life Juzo’s alternate personality grows stronger, taking over his mind and body. And No. 13’s bloody rampage begins…
