Ocean Friends is an animated TV show and an online virtual world that follows the lives and adventures of three heroes Shelly, a turtle without a shell, Squick, a Santa hat wearing squid, and Pero, a shark with prosthetic dorsal fins.

In the online world, players can choose and customize their characters and avatars and release them into the virtual ocean. There, they will face numerous tasks and activities that evolve from the TV show. The characters from the TV show will appear as non-playing characters (NPC) and will give clues and tasks to the players. The game, places, and players may even appear in the actual show as part of the online reward program.
